A procedure where a tooth or multiple teeth are removed for various reasons; including: decay, periodontal disease, trauma, hyper-eruption, impaction and other reasons. Extractions can be simple or complex. A complex extraction consists of sectioning the tooth into smaller pieces, or removing some of the bone surrounding the tooth in order to create space. At Jazzi Cosmetic Surgery, we offer extractions under local anesthesia (previously referred to as Novacaine), Nitrous oxide (laughing gas), or IV sedation (moderate to deep sleep sedation).
